I've seen these before, have you? At our homeschool park day, one family brought supplies and made hula hoops. All the kids were getting in on the hooping action. Of course, I didn't think to take photos. Silly me!
Princess gave it a go and was rocking her borrowed hoop. All she talked about, the entire ride home, was having her own hula hoop. I messaged the mom, from park day, for some instructions and Googled as well, finding this post. Home Depot had all the necessary supplies. The Lizard King already had the cutter.
These are still a work in process, as we want to add more tape/color. Yes, that big one is for me! I used to know how to hula hoop and I was determined to remember. And I did!! Man oh man, what great exercise! And it's FUN!!!
Check out Princess rockin' her hoop!
I think I may have found a new core workout!
I LOVE IT! I can't hula hoop. Never could. I am not sure why but I never could get it down. My oldest daughter the Book Worm knows how and does it well. We are so going to have to give this a try! :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome. I was never very good at hula hooping. Looks like you guys are having a blast though. What a fun project. :D
ReplyDeleteOh, so COOL! What a great project! I used to be able to hula hoop in my 'flexible days', lol... I even won a contest once! But, um... not so much anymore! LOVE these photos, wonderful!
ReplyDeleteIt is really fun ladies! In fact, we've decided to bring all the supplies with us on the camping trip. We've got enough to make 5 hula hoops for friends. Fun!

ReplyDeleteHuh! I didn't even notice that bicep. ; )
