Nature Connections: January

Guess what time it is!! It's the last day of the month (can you believe January is over?!). That means it's Nature Connection time! If you want details, click the button to the left to head over to our sponsor, Sherry at Living and Learning. We'd love to have you join us!
You may remember that I am NOT an outdoor girl. I mentioned a little something about that here. But when Sherry presented this challenge (for you it may be a fun blog hop, for me it's a challenge) I thought I'd give it a go. After all, it couldn't be that bad, right?

Our first adventure out in nature was so much fun that we went again a few days later! And if that wasn't enough, Princess wanted to go out and play in our yard two nights in a row! All in all, we had a fun time. Princess has rediscovered her love of the outdoors and yes, I will admit that I had a fun time too. It also gives me the perfect opportunity to work on my photography. I guess the outdoors/nature isn't such a bad thing.

  3. I have to admit I'm a little jealous. It's so cold here that going outside is a matter of purpose not pleasure. I'm glad you're enjoying it.

And I have to say I'm loving your photos, you're really getting some skillz. :D

  4. Phyllis, thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting. I'm just tickled that you like my photo!

Freckles, I have enjoyed the "nature thing", but still at heart, I'm an indoor girl (who likes to go outside sometimes). ;P

Secret Mom, it wasn't easy...but once we did it, it was fun. Still, I have a hard time convincing myself to get out there. Truthfully, if it wasn't for Princess it wouldn't be happening.

Sheri, I'm jealous of you. We. Want. Snow. But you can keep the cold. I am totally thrilled that you love my photos!!! I have to say that I am pretty pleased with the progress. :)

  7. Aliceson, I think I'm more of a poser than a deep down outdoors person. Believe me...I'd be a hermit if it weren't for Princess.

BF Mama, thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting! A woman after my own heart... Yes, I am starting to come around because of Princess and Sherry. And I do enjoy it once I'm out there. It's getting me out there that is the big challenge.

  8. Kudos to you for getting you & Princess outdoors. Some days its hard for me to find the energy to get all my guys ready to go, but it never fails once we're out there we end up laughing and having fun and relaxing (something this momma really needs). So, I'm not quite sure why i don't jump at the chance to do it again the next day? Still, I'm working to get us outdoors for at least an hour a day ... or at least most days ... :) you know how it goes, just doing the best we can.

  12. I have to make myself go outside, too--especially on cold days and super hot days. But it never fails, I always feel SO much better once I've been out. Gerrick is the exact same way. This past weekend we had GORGEOUS weather. I had to literally make him go out in the yard. (And I did because I knew it would do him a world of good!) And sure enough, he ended up staying out for several hours and was a much happier boy that evening than he had been in several!

  13. And I thought you were just this natural outdoor girl, Sherry! Maybe it will get easier with intention and better weather. Today it was cold (for us anyway) and I was happy to stay indoors. :-)
