New Glasses & Homemade Sidewalk Chalk Paint

Princess got new glasses last week and not just any glasses, but Transitions® Lenses that darken in the sun. She loves them! Doesn't she look so grown up?

That day we made sidewalk chalk paint. It's super simple! One part corn starch, one part water and some food coloring.

What a fun time we had! We will be doing this again . . .

  1. Princess looks great. I have to ask did your sidewalk chalk paint wash off. We did that last summer and you can still see it on our driveway.

    1. We haven't had rain and haven't tried to wash it off yet. Now you've got me curious... I'll have to get back to you, Secret Mom.

  2. Snazzy glasses, tres chic. Love the sidewalk chalk paint! Why do the best ideas come about when my kids are too old to appreciate them? Will have to file this under "Grandma Stuff" for when the time comes. Not that I'm in a hurry...much. :P

    1. Grandma Stuff . . . great idea, Sheri. Although, I encourage you to try it yourself. You just might like it! ;)

  3. I love the glasses! We love to make sidewalk chalk paint! it's a favorite pass time when the kids "have nothing to do!" I like to mix it up in muffin tins so that they can take their own palette out there to have fun. :)
