Oregon Coast Weekend

This past weekend, we got away for some much needed family time. We took a few days and went out to Depoe Bay and had an amazing time.

We went to the beach . . .
 and built sand castles.





 We tried to fly a kite, but amazingly enough, there wasn't enough wind!
 We put a puzzle together . . .
 and some new Legos.
 We even read a bit!
 We took walks and visited shops.

 We found gluten free clam chowder. Yeah, I was sad about the bacon, too. ;)
 We had more time on the beach.
 And came home with a beautiful sounding wind chime . . . something I've wanted for a long time.
What an amazing time we had!

    Yay! Sounds and looks amazing. The beach is beautiful. What...no bacon in the chowder?? Booo.

      It was an amazing weekend, Sue! My camera is a Canon Powershot that's 3 or 4 years old. I did some online tutorials and photo lessons that improved my ability to use the camera. I think that makes all the difference. Thanks for stopping by! :)

    I found your blog through the unschooling carnival. Looks like a great vacation! My kids love the beach. We weren't able to go this summer, but we're hoping to this week. Thankfully, here in Texas it's warm enough. =)
