Lego Harry Potter -- Step 1

Harry Potter is the latest craze in our house. We are currently working our way through the movies and plan to head to the theater to see 7. 2 within the next couple of weeks. The other day, I told you about Princess selling her Jeep.

This is what she bought with the money she made . . .

This is the first set in a long list of Lego Harry Potter sets. Princess has put together quite the wish list. It's a good thing her birthday is coming up in the not so distant future!

  2. Aww... so cute! I remember buying a few of these sets way back when, for ds16 - before he discovered iPods. We still have them, somewhere. Enjoy the lego years!

  4. I love Legos, too, Secret Mom! I remember playing with the for hours as a kid.

Jennifer! I haven't "seen" you in a while. I guess we have quite a few years of Lego collecting ahead of us, huh? Good... :D

Wow Jessica . . . 8 years! Harry is new in our house. We've talked about reading the books, but at the moment we're working our way through the Little House books. Maybe Harry will be next?

  5. Excellent choice! We have a few HP Lego sets (one of them is Diagon Alley), so much fun. Oh and the Little House books are awesome too, I read the whole series (well, as many as I could find - which was most of them) the second year we were homeschooling. Princess has great taste. ;)

  6. Sheri, Diagon Alley is on Princess' very long list of Harry Potter Lego sets. I'm pretty sure our library has all the books on CD. We really enjoy listening while in the car. I told her about the TV series (that I watched as a little girl). We'll get those from the library once we finish listening to the books. :-)

  7. I loved watching Little House as a girl...and a grown up. They have ALL the seasons (including the two hour tv movie that started the series) on YouTube...just sayin'. :P

  9. Nice! Last year we FINALLLLLLY boxed up my daughters whole set up collection of HP. We had it on two big tables in the basement. lol. Too bad she's still attached to it or I'd ship it to you. But something might happen to me in my sleep if I did that, lol.

  10. I completely understand the hesitation in giving things up. They all do it in their own time . . . it just isn't always in our time.

  11. Lego is always a fab investment. As a mum who has seen HP 7.2 though, you may want to preview the film yourself before taking Princess - it is pretty dark compared to the others, and could be distressing to a young one....

  12. Thanks for the heads up about 7 . 2, Cate! I really appreciate it. I will definitely talk to some others who have seen and know Princess well.
