Garden Club Monday

I've come to the conclusion that we just can't grow a normal looking carrot. They do taste good, though!

We are harvesting like crazy and it just keeps on coming! We have a lot of zucchini. I'm going to attempt zucchini chips and will puree some to freeze. I used the puree in Princess' bread.

This is our crazy big cabbage. Can you tell how huge it is?

That's all for this week's Garden Club Monday. Head on over to our host, Aliceson at Feet Off the Table, to check out gardens around the country.

  3. I believe that happens with carrots or other root veggies when they are planted closely and not thinned. :)
You are sure blessed by your garden and wow what a head that is!

  5. That could be, Crystal. I'm not very good at the thinning part. I guess I should work on that . . .

Secret Mom, you're going to have a sudden burst of ready to harvest veggies. Just you wait!

  11. Dang!!!!!! Nice haul!!!!!!!!!!! I forgot to post on Monday. I thought it was saturday. lol. My carrots looked that way a couple years ago. One day I'll look for the old post and send you a link. PLUS, I have almost the same kitchen counter pattern, but mine is more mauve-ish.

  12. Hey Sheila . . . I thought Monday was Tuesday. I would love to see your funky carrots, and the kitchen counter. I'd like to figure out how to grow normal carrots. I will try thinning them next time. Maybe that will work.

  15. Your garden is doing so well! AMAZING! It has been way too hot and way too dry here and things are just not happy. We'll see in a few more weeks. I'm hoping at least the tomatoes and cucumbers will ripen and be great with all this heat! :)
