You may or may not know about my love of rocks. When we bought our house, one very important thing for me was to not have bark dust in the garden beds. Bark dust is awful, nasty stuff made of shaved up bark (or something like that) and is generally loaded with teeny tiny slivers that are horribly painful. I hate bark dust. We had to put something in the beds to keep them from becoming a muddy mess. What better choice, for the rock loving lady, than river rock. You may have noticed it in many of the yard and garden photos.
Princess has inherited my love of rocks and will often play with them, creating a variety of games. The other day she was "selling" rocks. I was a customer and came up to purchase my first rock and noticed this one in her lineup.
And I've been carrying it in my pocket ever since.
I knew I liked you. ;) I love rocks. I often pick them up from wherever we are, tuck them into my pocket, and they end up on our windowsills. I have rocks from around the country, and remember where each one is from. I love that.
ReplyDeleteI love rocks too! I love them in the natural state best. I constantly pick up interesting shaped rocks. I love the energy they carry.

There are so many rock lovers in my life, I shouldn't be surprised that my bloggy friends love rocks, too! We should start a club, ladies. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThat's one awesome rock! Love it! I'm a rock person too. I have been since I've been a kid. Our front flower bed (well, one of them) has river rock in it. I love when I water and they get all shiny.
ReplyDeleteNow go enter my zen contest. lol
It is cool, isn't it Sheila! I love that we have so many areas of river rock. It gives us LOTS to explore.
ReplyDeleteha ha! My son is a rock lover too. Ya know he came up to me when he was not even two and handed me one of those sparkly white rocks that people use as ground cover and said "momma here is an angel rock for you" Idk why he named them angel rocks but thats what he called them, always. lol
ReplyDeleteBeautiful rock!

ReplyDeleteThanks, Secret Mom!
I love rocks too! I have a collection that consists of rocks from beaches from both coasts. That there is one of the nicest I've seen...hope she didn't charge you too much. ;)
ReplyDeleteSheri, I've got rocks from the west coast, but not the east. I'll have to work on that. Fortunately, we were using . . . wait for it . . . rocks for money. It cost me 5 rocks. ;-P
