Monday Garden Club

There isn't much happening in our garden at the moment. More dirt has been moved and we've made a list of what we're going to grow. Planting will happen in about two weeks.

Yesterday, Princess wanted to do a craft. I suggested garden markers. We got started . . .

and decided that red cabbage really isn't red. We've got lots more to make, then we will laminate and attach them to craft sticks. I think these are about the coolest garden markers ever!

Now head on over to our Monday Garden Club sponsor, Aliceson at Feet Off the Table.

  1. Awesome craft! And I agree, red cabbage is more purple than red. Same goes for red (purple) onions. :)

  3. Awesome! I grew cabbage last year. It was a bit stinky. I think this year I'll buy it, lol. Tell Princess I said her markers are awesome!

  4. Princess and I agreed that from now on it will be called purple. Come on Aliceson, let's start a revolution! ;-P

Oh yay, Secret Mom! I'm so glad you liked it enough to steal it! :-)

Uh oh, Sheila. Should I order the nose plugs now? Yes, those markers are awesome. They're actually mine from my scrapbooking days. Now that Princess is seven, I was able to pull them out of hiding. ;-)

  7. Great idea! And what a fun craft. I usually just draw a map of my garden so I know what's growing where. Your idea is more fun and colourful. :D

  9. Denise, I hope you post photos of your garden markers. We'll have to make some blue dye from the cabbage. I'm sure Princess with think that's pretty cool!

A map, Sheri! Now that you're into card making you could make some awesome garden markers. Go for it!!

charlywalker, thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting! I like purple . . . it is one of my favorite colors! :-)
