Wardrobe Wednesday

It's been a while since we've participated in a Wardrobe Wednesday and thought it was time to get into the swing of things...or at least try. Thanks to Aliceson over at Feet Off the Table, our WW sponsor. She's not an unschooler or even a homeschooler, but I like her anyway. ;p

We don't celebrate Christmas, so Princess doesn't get a Christmas dress. If she doesn't get a Christmas dress then she doesn't have a fancy dress to wear when she wants to be fancy. What's a girl to do? Why, buy a Thanksgiving dress of course! Little did I know, she expected her dress to have a turkey on it. That took some explaining. It got a lot easier once she saw pink.

  1. Such a beautiful dress for a beautiful little girl:D Its a great idea to get her a thanksgiving dress. We dont do special dresses either, even though we have xmas celebrations (solstice celebrations) somehow the two girly girls seem to get something in their wardrobe they like!

  2. Why thank you, WCL! We were both pretty pleased with the dress. I have a feeling it will come out again for our New Years Eve party. It's important to have a party dress. ;)

  3. Every girl's gotta have a pretty dress...unless of course they're like my daughter and can't stand dresses. :(

I LOVE Princess' dress...the colour, the style, the swoop. It's awesome.

    :D

  4. Princess is all about the pretty dress! It is beautiful, isn't it? I like them in theory, but give me a comfy pair of jeans any day. ;p

Shhh....don't tell anyone, but it was practically free! Do you have Kohl's stores up in Canada, Sheri? You earn "Kohl's Cash" during certain times. My Kohl's cash paid for this dress and a present for the grandbaby. I think I ended up paying $13 for both after using my "KC". Kohl's rocks!

  6. Beautiful dress! I would love a dress like that. New Year's Eve and Family Solstice (big get-together, lots of presents) are our big dress-up holidays. We have smaller solstice celebrations too, but not so dressy. Except for the fancy party hats that we make. :-)

I agree Rosalyn! I wish they made dresses like that for grown-ups...
