Spontaneous Sorting

Princess was suddenly inspired to sort her animal collection. She started collecting these years ago and they often sit untouched for months and months. Every once in a while they all come out to be part of imaginative play. This time it was just for sorting purposes...or could it be that she had the need to create some order?

The horses are Princess' favorite. She really wants to ride a real horse. This summer I am going to have to make that happen.

Do you need to find some order in your life? Or perhaps to ignite a passion? The new year is coming. I don't do resolutions, but this year I have some goals. I'll be sharing them later. Will you have any goals for the new year?

  1. Nicely sorted!
We don't do New Year's, but January is often a better time than Rosh Hashanah to take on something new... like learning to eat in a way that won't kill me before I'm 50. :-)
    Have a great one!

  2. Jennifer, I think it's so interesting that you don't do New Years. We have always done it, even back when I was growing up and in Hebrew school and religious. I can see that taking on something new at Rosh Hashanah would be more challenging than in January. Finding a healthier way of eating is a great one. Have you heard of Weston A. Price or Nourishing Traditions? That is an awesome place to start!

  3. I'm compiling a list of goals / resolutions over at my blog too, so make sure that you give me some of your thoughts!

I'm definitely needing to up the ante with the healthier lifestyle. I treat myself very much as the last priority and need to address that one this year.

  4. I don't do resolutions either but like you maybe a couple short goals. Book 2 is on that list.

  5. Cate, it is definitely time to move yourself up the priority list! You've got to take care of yourself!! The hard thing is learning what is healthy. We've been brainwashed for so long that it's hard to believe anything different. If you've got questions, I've got answers...or can at least point you in the direction of answers. I'm happy to help!!

A second book, Sheila?! Wow! That rocks!! I can't wait to hear what your other goals might be. I've got three at the moment and I've been talking to Princess and the Lizard King about theirs. It looks like it's going to be a fun year!!
