When Princess was 3 or 4, I tried to tell her that Santa wasn't real. Well, she thought I had gone and lost my mind. Then she set me straight.
It wasn't until she was 5 that she was brave enough to sit on Santa's lap. It was then that she asked Santa if he brought presents to the kids who celebrate Hanukkah. Santa assured her that he did.
So, if you go to see Santa at the mall and tell him what you want for Hanukkah, he will deliver it to you on the first night of Hanukkah while you are sleeping. On the first morning of Hanukkah, as soon as you wake up, your present will be there by the fireplace.
So you see, it's a good thing that Santa comes to the mall so early. After all, what would the Jewish kids do if he waited until December?!
Happy Holidays!!!
Haha - I love how kids can merge Santa with any faith. My son informed me at about age 5 that Jesus sends Santa to give gifts to people....
ReplyDelete*Sigh* - those were the days ;-)
Cute photos! Good thing you went already, isn't Hanukkah starting next week?
ReplyDeleteYeah, I heard that Santa is cool like that. :D
ReplyDeleteCate, Santa is a magical guy!
ReplyDeleteYes, Aliceson, Hanukkah starts on the 1st. We visited Santa just in time.
Yup, Sheri...we like the way he rolls. =)
Ah, that is such a sweet post! Great pics! I used to LOVE to take my own pics when the kids were little, rather than spend a buttload of dough on the mall pics, lol. You've got some great shots here, and look!....Santa finds the camera with his eyes every single time!
ReplyDeleteSheila, I totally agree! I never like the photos they take at the mall. They always try to take a photo of the whole scene. Well, I don't care about the scene! I want my Princess and Santa.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliment. I really want to start working on my photographic skills. Perhaps a class one of these days...
