Going Batty

We were out on the back deck the other day, something hit the window and fell. It turned out to be a bat! It was a little stunned, so I was able to move in and take some photos.
It started moving around and perking up after a few minutes
and then . . .
. . . it found its intended target. When we first saw this little guy, we thought that perhaps we should put up a bat house. Apparently, he's already found a home in the eaves of the deck roof.

  1. Awwwwww, sweet. Little known fact about me and weird considering I'm afraid of a lot of things, I LOVE bats. I see them as kittens with wings. Strange I know, but there you have it. Good on you to think about building him a house. :D

    1. I think bats are pretty darn awesome, too! Although, kittens with wings is certainly an . . . uhm . . . interesting description, Sheri. ;P

    2. Awww, come on. Look at that face, the one you got an excellent shot of by the way, and tell me it doesn't remind you of a kitten. ;P

  2. Glad the little guy was ok. Bats creep me out but I know they are good for getting rid of bugs.
