Boots!

I have a love/hate relationship . . .

with boots.

I love the way they look and the style, but I haven't got skinny legs. And I've never, even at my adult thinnest size 6, been able to wear them. I hate that.

I walked into Famous Footwear last September and I don't know what made me try, but I did. I slipped them on, tucked in my jeans and went for the zipper. I pulled slowly, hopefully and it happened. The zipper went up! All the way up! Finally, someone designed a boot for me!

I was so ecstatic, I bought another pair in brown.

I hope these boots last forever, because I don't know that this will ever happen again!

Now head on over to our Wardrobe Wednesday sponsor, Aliceson at Feet Off the Table to see what all the cool kids are wearing.

  2. I love 'em! I have similar looking boots in brown suede. They have the straps but no bling. They are my favourite footwear. I feel like a medieval ranger when I wear them. :D

  3. Oooh - nice boots! I've only got one pair and I feel very grown up when I wear them! Am yet to do the tucked in thing though - legs are too fat!!

  4. Nice! I have a hard time with boots too. I'm 6 feet tall, so when boots are designed to go to a certain point with curves in certain places on the leather, well, I end up with a 'calf' lump on my upper ankle, the top cutting into my mid-calf, and they slowly bunch up around my ankles. Bwah! ;) When I find some that are actually long, I buy several!!!

  5. Thanks, Bernie!

Sheri, I'm a sucker for bling. Always have been. I'm anxious for summer, but just a tiny bit sad to have to put the boots away.

    Thanks, Secret Mom!

Funny, Cate . . . you feel very grown up and I feel younger when I wear mine. ;-P

Oh Denise! That is quite the challenge. And quite the visual you've painted there! See! Buying more than one pair when you find ones that work makes total sense.
