Goal #1 is in progress! I've been taking an annoying amount LOTS of photos and I've been having fun editing them at Picnik. I have to admit, I'm pretty pleased with the results...especially this first photo (that is also the very first photo that I edited).
Here Princess is waiting for our friends to arrive for our New Year celebration.
We had lots of food...
...and drink.
I got to ring in the New Year with my best friends, HerbiFaerie and Freckles.
When we celebrated the new year together for the first time, Freckles introduced us to her New Year tradition of watching Dinner For One. It has become our annual tradition now. "Same procedure as every year!" We laughed hysterically watching again this year. You MUST go check it out. We also found a Lego version that was absolutely hysterical, too! You can watch that one, but you have to watch the original first.
The kids played, the adults talked, watched Dick Clark's New Years Rockin' Eve, and showed no mercy making fun of the hosts and the "talent". LK had HerbiFaerie laughing so hard she cried. At midnight, we all watched the ball drop, made lots of noise and wished each other happy new year.
From Princess, me and...
the Lizard King...
...we wish you the best of everything in the new year.
A birght and happy 2011 to all:)
ReplyDeleteWonderful! By the first shot of you ladies, I thought maybe the theme was "purple", lol. You all look so great! Nice pics! You and Your hubs have fabulous shots at the end. I wish I was as photogenic.
ReplyDeleteThank you, J! :)
ReplyDeleteSheila, LK usually looks good in photos. With me, every once in a while I get a lucky shot. I gave the ladies a hard time for not giving me a heads up about the purple, but when I looked down, I noticed purple in my socks! Completely by accident. Last year we all wore the same shirt for New Years Eve. We must be in sync. ;P
Lovely! Sounds like quite the party. We watched Dick Clark's NYRE too but it was just me, Hubby and Daughter and it was very quiet. I went to bed about 2 minutes past midnight. :D
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
It was a fun time, Sheri! A quiet evening sounds nice, too. Our New Years day was quiet...we were exhausted.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun night, and I LOVE that first pic of Princess. Great editing!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Cate! It means a lot coming from such a talented photographer. It is my favorite. In fact, I just ordered an 8x10 print! :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great way to start the new year. Love the editing on the first shot.
ReplyDeleteI think it's our favorite way to start the year, SMT! :) I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever come up with as great a shot as that first one... ;P
