and I discovered something. Going to the Children's Museum with friends is significantly more fun for everyone involved. We had lots of friends to play with this time! Freckles arranged a "meetup" for our Humanist Homeschoolers group. You know, all us homeschooling heathens... We really are a fun bunch. The adults got to hang and gab. The kids got to play and *gasp* socialize.
I didn't have my camera, so used my iPhone Hipstamatic app. I love the app, but it's harder to catch kids in action on an iPhone. Still, after some editing, I think the photos came out okay.
One of the benefits of having only one child is that you always have room in the car and enough extra patience to borrow someone else's kid for the afternoon. Violet hates going to the children's museum alone.
ReplyDeleteWell duh!! Why didn't I think of that?!?! Next time Princess wants to go, I'll pick up a spare kid. Cool.
ReplyDeleteSo fun! I wish I had an iphone for just the hipstamatic app. Well, the rest of the features would be fun too. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is a really fun app, Aliceson! And yes, I really like the phone, too...so much so that I ended up getting a MacBook. =)
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. Looks like the kids had a blast. :D
ReplyDeletePrincess and Freckles' son, Blue-Eyed Boy, didn't want to leave. We were there for over 4 hours!
ReplyDeleteI like that app effect too. Good shots. I enjoy the kids museum much more when we go with friends.
ReplyDeleteSee, SMT, you'd think I would have figured this out a long time ago. I guess I'm slow sometimes. ;)
ReplyDeleteWe used to visit our local Children's Museum here too. Back then I don't think it was really big. Fun place though, those children's museums!
ReplyDeleteI wonder when Children's Museums came into existence, Sheila. I don't remember anything like them when I was a kid. The closest thing we had was the Franklin Institute, our local (in Philly) science museum.
ReplyDeleteWell look who is rocking her i-phone camera!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of a fun day out. I really believe that line that the best camera to have is the one in your hand :-)
Wise words, Cate!! Having a camera, any camera, is definitely better than nothing at all.
