We've been back for a few weeks now and I'm just sitting down to go through all the photos. Disney World, as always, was fabulous. I must say though, that 10 days is a long time. We didn't run out of things to do. Honestly, I don't know if that's possible. There are still tons of things that we didn't do. The Lizard King was peopled out, I didn't make the best food choices and needed to get home to my kitchen and Princess just needed some down time. While our trip was fabulous, it's good to be home.
We took the redeye to Orlando. Princess was already tired by the time we got to the airport. Trying to nap in the Sky Club was no easy task.
The Lizard King
and me.
We arrived at our hotel, Port Orleans French Quarter, and fortunately our room was ready. We even got upgraded to a river view. Sometimes you just have to ask! We unpacked and headed for the Magic Kingdom.
We were exhausted, but we rode a few rides...
...and headed over to 1900 Park Faire for dinner with Cinderella, Anastasia, Drisella, and the Prince. This is usually my favorite character meal, as the step-sisters and stepmother (Lady Tremain) are hysterical. But this year there was no Lady Tremain and the step-sisters just weren't quite as animated as years past.
The Prince was as charming as ever!
Disney does an amazing job dealing with food allergies and intolerances. Here is the special gluten free salmon dish that the chef made for me. I love the Mickey bread! The salmon was delish!
. . . to be continued . . .
